A "Mini mod" is a modification (mod) for Minecraft Java, which doesn't include tons of new features, like blocks, items, entities, but instead it conzentrates on one. This way it has a clean and easy to read source code and it drasticly decreases the update time needed whenever a new Minecraft version comes out.
